Tree of Life

Time to light the FMDH Foundation’s “Tree of Life”

The FMDH Foundation’s “Tree of Life” has become an annual holiday tradition in our community. The Tree will be lit on Monday, November 28th and remain so until New Years. During this time, we invite you to support the FMDH Foundation while remembering loved ones, friends, and special events with a tax-deductible donation. Many people send holiday wishes and congratulations as well as memorials for those dear to them that have been lost. The names of loved ones and events are placed on recognition ornaments and hung as a loving tribute on the Tree of Life.

This year the Foundation has four different funds that you can give to, which include:

  • General Endowment where the funds are invested and only the interest and dividends are used each year to purchase medical equipment for FMDH and other community organizations.
  • Markle’s Ambulance Fund that helps support ambulance services in Glasgow and throughout Valley County.
  • Scholarships Fund to help the Foundation give out scholarships to second-year college students studying in a medical field who have graduated from a local high school.
  • Mammography Fund which just helped purchase our 3-D digital mammography machine and is being kept open for future needs.

This year the Foundation gave out $30,000 in Scholarships and $3,000 to Valley County ambulance services. The Foundation was also able to gift up to $60,000 around the community for medically needed gifts.
