SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life) is a 12-week falls prevention fitness program designed for older adults that focuses on strength, balance, and mobility - which reduces the risk of falls and improves overall quality of life.
SAIL Fitness Class Benefits:
- Reduce risks of falling
- Improve balance, mobility and leg strength - all known risk factors for falls
- Maintain independence by building strength, improving balance and agility
SAIL Fitness Classes Include:
- Exercises that can be done sitting or standing
- Suite for all fitness levels
- Fitness checks are done in the first class and at 12 weeks to track your progress. Fitness checks include:
- 8-Foot Timed Up and Go
- Bicep Curls
- Chair Sit-to-Stand
Who Can Attend SAIL Fitness Classes:
- Any older adult
- Anyone who has fallen in the past year or is fearful of falling
- Anyone looking to add exercise to their routine
Class Location: Glasgow Senior Center

- Every Monday and and Thursday from 10:30am - 11:30am for 12 weeks beginning Monday, January 26

How to Register for SAIL:
• Call (406) 228-3472 to request a registration packet by mail
• Class is limited to 40 participants and filled on a first-come, first-served basis
• The first 40 completed packets returned will be officially registered
• All additional packets will be placed on a waiting list
• If a registered participant does not attend the first class, they will be dropped and the next person on the waiting list will be added
• No new participants will be added after the first day of classRegistration packet deadline: January 16
